The Big Easy Jazz Brunch, proudly sponsored by The Twenty-Five Club of UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, was a resounding success, bringing together philanthropy, community, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans–style jazz for an unforgettable afternoon.
Held at Longue Vue Club, the elegant setting provided the perfect backdrop for this vibrant and meaningful event. The brunch was beautifully chaired by Lynn Bainbridge and Peggy Snavely, whose leadership helped create a truly exceptional experience. In addition, the entire Twenty-Five Club worked diligently from the summer through November, each member adding their own flair and expertise to ensure every detail was thoughtfully executed. A multitude of Vendors to aid in holiday shopping, and the pinnacle in the room was a "Surprise" table of bags, and a luxe silent auction --- all contributing to the cause!
Guests were inspired by remarks from past president Michel Franklin and a compelling presentation by distinguished physician Dr. David Peters, a Neonatal researcher at Magee-Womens Research Institute, reinforcing the impact of the club’s mission.
The entertainment delighted all in attendance, featuring the unmistakable New Orleans flair of legendary Pittsburgh and International jazz singer Etta Cox, whose performance elevated the celebration.
With elegant cuisine (Beignets and eggs Sardou), lively ambiance decor (replete with Mardi Gras colors), and heartfelt purpose, the brunch exceeded fundraising expectations while strengthening support for critical programs at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and the Magee-Womens Research Institute (the third largest research institute in the nation and the only one dedicated to women's health) —once again showcasing The Twenty-Five Club’s enduring legacy of impact, compassion, and leadership.
